You'll be able to find a little slice of paradise just for you, and there are campsites galore. Here are some of our favourite places to set up camp for the night.

Bush camping

Fitzgerald River National Park

Declared a UNESCO biodiversity hotspot, the “Fitz” is blanketed in colour from August to November.  Travelling via Hopetoun stay at the Four Mile campground or Hamersley Inlet. From July to October, southern right and humpback whales shelter close to shore with their newborn calves. The peaks of the Barrens Range form a spectacular backdrop to views across the bay.  Point Ann is the one of the best places in Australia to see southern right whales close up. Stay at St Mary Inlet campground near Point Ann and accessible via Bremer Bay.

Pro Tip – Walk the new Mamang Trail to Fitzgerald Inlet. For more information including a brochure on the Mamang Trail and podcasts about the park click here Cape Le Grand

Lucky Bay campground Pristine and perfect best describes the absolute beauty of Lucky Bay. The white beach and turquoise waters of this wide, sheltered bay are a must-see and a great place to enjoy water-based activities. Here you will find a stunning blue ocean, sand so white and fine it squeaks between your toes and kangaroos sunbathing on the beach. Currently being redeveloped to improve facilities and capacity.

Stokes National Park

Benwenerup campground This small campground is nestled on the banks of Stokes Inlet surrounded by picturesque paperbark trees.  Sites are allocated on a first come first served basis.  This is a great place to unwind and experience nature at its best with activities such as kayaking, fishing, bushwalking.  You will also discover an abundance of bird life on the inlet and lakes. Pro Tip: A 4WD is needed to access some parts of the park but not the campground.
